Cheryl Smith, MD, is a board-certified neurologist and movement disorder specialist at Integrated Neurology Services, providing complete neurology care to adults in Falls Church, Lorton, Reston, and Alexandria, Virginia. 

Dr. Smith began her career pursuits at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, earning her Bachelor of Arts in biology and graduating cum laude. Then, she enrolled at the West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, earning a doctorate in philosophy and her Doctor of Medicine.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Smith completed a neurology residency at the West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown and a neuromuscular medicine fellowship at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.

Dr. Smith holds membership in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology,  the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the West Virginia State Medical Association.

Over her career, Dr. Smith has served in various capacities, including lecturer, researcher, and assistant professor of neurology. At Integrated Neurology Services, Dr. Smith specializes in diagnosing and treating movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, ataxia, and dystonia.
