Integrated Neurology Services is pleased to have the Infusion Suite in our office. Services include Steroid, Remicade, Tysabri, and IVIG (intravenous immunoglobulin) infusion therapy. IVIG infusion therapy can be helpful to patients with a wide range of diseases characterized by abnormal immunity, including MS (multiple sclerosis), CIDP (chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy), and myasthenia gravis.

The Infusion Suite is pleased to announce the opening of the outpatient infusion center at the Springfield-Alexandria Inova Healthplex. Infusion services are available seven days a week, with evening and weekend appointments available upon request.

What is the Infusion Suite?

The Infusion Suite is an outpatient medical center that delivers infusion services in a convenient, personal setting. The Infusion Suite is supervised by our highly-trained medical team who coordinates care with doctors, performs preauthorizations with insurance companies, and infuses patients.

Comfortably equipped with reclining chairs and state-of-the-art infusion pumps, the Infusion Suite is for all patients who do not need to be admitted to the hospital to receive infusion therapy or treatment.

Comprehensive Infusion Services

Intravenous medications and drug therapies

• Infusions are prepared by licensed pharmacists and are administered by qualified nurses
• Intravenous therapies include IVIG, Solumedrol, and Novantrone

Clinical monitoring during and after infusions

• Prior to receiving IV treatment, patients are evaluated by our clinical team for proper medication dosing and interaction with outstanding conditions.
• A supervising physician is available to monitor and prescribe symptomatic treatment for side effects or increased disease activity during infusions.
• Patients receiving IVIG are premedicated with IV Solumedrol and Benadryl and are also provided pre and post-hydration under the prescribing physician's order.
• The infusion suite is conveniently located above the Springfield- Alexandria Inova Healthplex Emergency room.

Blood drawing for labs

• Our infusion nurses draw blood according to physician orders. The infusion suite has an easily accessible laboratory.

Patient billing and scheduling services

• Referral forms are provided to prescribing physicians for information regarding patient's diagnosis, medication dosage, therapy frequency, and billing information, providing a fast and effective treatment.
• All major medical insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid, are accepted.
